Building muscle on a vegan diet isn’t that different from a meat-filled plan. In fact, no matter what eating style you follow, if you want to build muscle then you need to eat slightly more calories than you burn in a day (called a “caloric surplus”), and make sure you emphasise protein. All that changes are the source of protein you need when following a vegan diet and a ‘progressive overload resistance training plan,’ and you will add muscle.
